About BMI Advisor:
Why we built this tool:
Most BMI calculators online haven’t changed much in twenty years. You type in two numbers, you get a category label, and that’s it – no context, no explanation, nothing to help you understand what the number actually means for you.
We built BMI Advisor because we think a health tool used by millions of people deserves better than that. Our goal is simple: give you an accurate, fast BMI calculation, explain what it means in plain language, and be upfront about what BMI can and can’t tell you about your health.
We’re not a hospital, a research institute, or a government health agency. We’re a small, independent team focused entirely on doing one thing well , BMI calculation and education , and getting it checked by a qualified medical professional before it ever goes live.
What we do differently:
- One topic, done properly. This site exists for BMI and nothing else. That focus means every calculator, chart, and article here gets real attention rather than being one of two hundred tools bolted onto a general site.
- Medically reviewed content. Every page on this site that makes a health claim ,what a BMI range means, who BMI may not apply well to, how it’s calculated is reviewed by Dr. Muhammad Sharif, a licensed physician, before publication. You’ll see his name and the review date on each page he’s checked.
- Honest about limitations. BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. It doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, age, or where fat is distributed in the body. We say this clearly rather than burying it in fine print, because we’d rather you trust what we tell you than oversell a simple formula.
- No sign-up, no data collection. You don’t need an account, and we don’t ask for anything beyond the numbers you choose to enter into the calculator itself.
Our medical reviewer:

Who’s behind BMI Advisor:
BMI Advisor was founded and is maintained by us ,we are a small independent team focused on health and education tools. We’re not a hospital system or a pharmaceutical company. we’re independent, and we built this because we thought the existing options could be better.
Our commitment going forward:
We update this site’s content periodically to reflect current medical guidance, and we note the last review date on each page. If you ever spot something that seems outdated or inaccurate, you can reach us through contact us page, we take that seriously, especially given the topic.
BMI Advisor is a screening and education tool, not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have concerns about your weight, health risks, or BMI results, please talk to a doctor or qualified healthcare provider who knows your medical history.
